I was born on a warm fall day on the thirteenth of November. When the animals started to
sound their voices and flowers are cheerful. I lived with my mom Trinh, my dad Loc, and
my sister Minh. Since I was born my family always wanted to move to the United States.
Parents believed living in the United States would provide my sister and I more
opportunities to grow, develop and have a brighter future.
Finally, October 24,2010 came! It is the most special day I ever had. It had opened a new
chapter in my life. It was the day I moved to the United States and from then a new story
begin. As a child growing up in the United States, I was fortunate to attend a well-regarded
middle school. I learned a new language, new cultures, and I met a lot of new friends.
Then in 2012, I attended Perris High School. A lot of troubles started at my first year, but
after that, I won many awards such as student of the year, perfect attendance, and more.
The year 2015 was the best year of my life. It was my graduation year. I successfully
completed all my courses and got ready for college. However, making a decision for what
my major would be was not easy. I am the oldest child in the family I am supposed to go
out there and face the whole world and fight for what I lived for. I always wanted to take
care of my mom and my dad when they get old, but I have not done it yet. I always used
that as my motivation, and I promised with myself I will never disappoint them.
