Autism: The Challenges Faced by Parents
Autism is a lifelong disability that affects not only the child but the family as well.
After an intense research, it was discovered that parents of children with Autism on a daily basis
meet challenges and life altering situations. Even though society has more knowledge on Autism
no one still knows the cause. The behaviors displayed by the individuals with autism may appear
to be different, odd, weird, threatening, and unacceptable in social situations. Autism is not
diagnosed at birth which causes the parents and family members to have false hope and believe
that their child will develop normally. A lot of parents develop concerns when their child is 18
