Attitude and Heritage
In Alice Walker’s “Everyday Use” there are conflicting viewpoints towards
heritage that is portrayed by both Dee and Maggie. Each has their own attitude that they
acknowledge and demonstrate throughout the story. How can two sisters that live
together have two opposite outlooks on heritage? Well Walker does a very good job of
depicting the sister’s views through many different elements throughout her story.
