Atmosphere:
Mars has unique atmospheric condi ons which are due to not only its distance from the Sun, but the
composi on of the air. The surface temperature of Mars ranges from -87 degrees Celsius to 20 degrees Celsius
but the average is -63 degrees Celsius. (Mihos, C.,
2006) Due to these extremely cold temperatures
humans would have a very hard me living on Mars
just based on temperature alone. The humidity of
Mars is almost none, there is only .03% water vapor in
the air. While this gives some hope that there could
be water on Mars to harbor life, it’s not quite enough.
The air on Mars is composed of 95% carbon dioxide,
