The Supreme Court should have no reason to hold the tobacco company responsible
because the product is under the Federal Cigarette Labeling and Advertising Act. This act, in this
case, allowed the tobacco company to place a warning statement on the cigarette package and
when advertising, to make smokers aware of any health-related problems. Along with proper
instructions on how to use the product, smokers will be put accountable for their own actions. If
they decide to use the product improperly, then preventing the Tobacco Company isn’t
