Create a new column called “Experienced”, with values Yes or No, where Yes is for employees
who have more than 10 years of Beta experience, and No is for the rest. As always, state your
answers to the questions clearly.
i) Show a picture of a table showing the employee number and the Experienced column
for the first 6 employees in the population.
ii) Compute the population proportion.
iii) Using the random sample you found in part (a), compute the proportion of
experienced employees in the sample.
iv) What is the sampling error?
v) Using this sample proportion as a point estimate of the population proportion,
compute an estimate of the standard error of the proportion. Because we know the
population size, use the finite population correction factor.
