I have decided to analyze and report my high-profile ethics violation that involved fraudulent ac-
counting on Christopher Charles Skase. Christopher Skase was the CEO and founder of the
Australia- American company Qintex. A brief Description of his unethical behavior which ulti-
mately led to the corporate collapse of Quintex is discussed below, followed by a critical as–
sessment of the accounting violations in direct contradiction with GAAP principles for fraud and
internal controls manipulated.
Chistopher Skase: Legal Considerations
He was found guilty on a basis of two sets of charges. He was charged with dishonest conduct
and seven counts of failure to disclose relevant information. The act under which the violations
occurred was the Bankruptcy Act of 1966.
Critical Assessment
As the administrator of Qintex (QAL) AUD LTD., Skase committed numerous accounting viola–
tions in alignment with a violation of GAAP principles, as well. First, he issued inside sharehold–
er convertible bonds and shares of Qintex Ltd, the company controlling QAL, to an investment
