1) Explain the FTC. What are some actions they take and some laws.
a. The Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over many types of advertising.
They are able to look at suspicious advertisement, but they do not have enough
staff to look at everything that is circulated to the public. They specifically
monitor internet activity and forward the rules and violations to violators.
2) How can we report something suspicious?
a. There are many ways to report suspicious activity and many agencies to contact.
For example, if you have a concern about junk e-mails that are health-related, you
would contact the FTC’s e-mailbox spam@uce.gov.
