My Long-Term Care Facility
If I were to oversee my own long-term care facility (LTC) I would run an assisted living
facility for the elderly that will emphasize and focus more on each resident’s individual needs
and interests. Each resident will have a say on how they would like their room to be decorated
and whatever furniture tickles their fancy and how they will like to be cared for. I would also
make it my focus that there will be a wide range and variety of activities and classes that will
help peek at each resident’s interests making them comfortable in my facility and increasing their
dopamine levels which will help increase brain activity and improve their health. I will also
make sure that have the right staff who have good intentions and big hearts working in my LTC
as well.
