Objectives The student will be able to accurately identify the area of a two
dimensional shape.
Strategies of
Instruction
The use of scrap paper to show work, as well as the use of
manipulatives to provide concrete objects to aide understanding.
Students will also review their work and make corrections if
needed.

Formal assessments in the form of written tests and Informal
assessments in the form of one on one observation and teacher
questioning.
Assessment is important in education; as it is a tool teachers utilize to inform instruction.
