During this course and over the content of this semester I have learned a lot about the
development of Contemporary Asian History. In many ways Contemporary Asian History is the
same and different as Western Culture. In this essay I will compare Asian and Western culture
using China and the United States to explain their development and predict the outcome of the
global interaction of these very different cultures and how they will interact over the next fifty
years. To begin, China is growing rapidly politically, economically and militarily and their
potential rise has been characterized as threatening. China at the rate its growing has the greatest
potential to compete with the United States which is why I will be discussing the similarities and
differences of the two in this essay.
The Asia Pacific geography is extremely diverse. The land can range anywhere from
