Summary Report:
A drug called Emflaza is used for treating children with muscular dystrophy. The drug has been accessible in
Europe and Canada for a price between $1,000 and $2,000. A pharmaceutical company has been approved by the
FDA to sell the generic version at a list price of $89,000, which is a 6,000% price increase. Because this drug has
never been approved in the United States, it is considered a new drug. This give them pharmaceutical company
benefits which include a 7 year monopoly. Because of the cost associated with developing a new drug, such as
pre approval and post approval testing, the pharmaceutical company claims that they will only generate $54,000
annually from insurance providers.

Summary Report:
Uber has faced several legal issues regarding sexual harrasement in the workplace. To date, they have fired over
20 employees linked to the claims. The initial employee who filed the claims was ignored by HR. Instead of
taking the claims and acting on them, they let them go since the claims were against a high performing employee.
The firm has been questioned as to whether or not they handled this appropriately and an outside company is
leading an investigation. If found in violation, this will be in violation of the Civil Rights act of 1964 which states
