After reading the article Addicts next door, the area of study i will be interesting in
studying is Drug abuse. Reason being, many parents are dying from drugs, leaving the
younger kids on their own to fed for themselves. A lot of times, they don’t even think
about their kids before even getting high. Children live what they learn, if they grow up
seeing their parents abusing drugs, most of the time, they grow up doing the same thing.
Others however, may choose another path. Putting a child in the foster care system
doesn’t guarantee that they are going to get good parents or place in good homes.
secondly a parent can not be replaced. There is no mom or dad who is going to take care
of a child like its their own like the parent of the child. i personally think that people who
chooses this type of lifestyle need to rethink alot before even attempting drugs.
