Essay 1
Comparing two pieces of fantastic artwork to each other would be hard if they weren’t
completely eye opening about what art has become and how it has impacted our world. The two pieces
of artwork that I’m comparing are The Garden of Earthly Delights and The Night Journey of Muhammad
on His Steed, Buraq. I chose these two pieces of artwork because of their overall impact they have on
me and how they have conveyed their artists’ message. Each piece has its own message that the artist is
trying to convey by using the many different art elements to show the I feel as though these pieces are
alike because they have a lot of detail about the subject and the fact that they are both show scenes of
that specific subject. These pieces are different because The Garden of Earthly Delights looks more
realistic because of the different contrast between the objects in the painting, while the The Night
Journey of Muhammad oh His Steed, Buraq shows more repetition than anything else because of the
