Children love to play video games. Almost every child has their own video game
console by the time they’re ten years old. Some parents try to shield their children from
video games in all forms, but is it truly necessary? Are video games really these evil,
brain cell killing tools used to “zombify” this generation of children? No. Video games
have been proven to improve physical and mental functions of children. Literary value
of video games also raise children’s reading comprehension levels by a considerable
percentage. Video games also teach critical thinking skills. Ark: Survival Evolved can
be used as an educational tool to teach children real world skills.

When a child wants to play video games it is not always mindless button
pushing. These children are honing skills that are going to take them far in life. Not
only will the skills they are learning help them be successful in the professional world
but it will help them be better partners within their relationships. Video games are not
evil and they do not rot people’s minds. In the correct doses video games are a tool that
will give children the skills to become productive members of today’s society. Ark:
Survival Evolved can be used as an educational tool to teach children real world skills
and does so flawlessly.
