Teacher Pay vs. Workload
Why Are Teachers Having So Much Stress Put On Them For Such Little Pay?
1. Introduction
1. Think about how many teachers one person may have in their lifetime. A lot
right? Especially if education is continued after secondary school. Teachers
are hardworking people. Teachers can be men or women, young or old.
How many teachers do the minimum required of them? This answer is
almost undeterminable. It is wondered whether sometimes it may be the
teacher causing the problem with the knowledge of a child, or it could be
that the child doesn’t want to learn, or physically cannot. A job always
comes down to one thing; pay. Not very many people work for no pay.
Teachers have one of the most important jobs on this earth, to educate
young people, or older for that matter, so that they can make their own
difference in the world. For teachers to have the hardest job, their pay does
not reflect it. Why is it that teachers are not paid enough for all that they do?
They definitely have a workload that merely no other profession may have.
Teachers are some of the most poorly paid people, with some having one of
the highest level of education possible. Teachers have so many things they
have to accomplish along with actually teaching a class. Their workload is
sometimes unbearable, making teaching students very difficult. They spend
more time doing their own “homework” than worrying with their own
