Police Militarization
Police Militarization is needed in some situations to keep people in order or to defuse a
hostile situation. Overly-violent riots and active shooter situations require military-grade defense
to ensure that the least amount of civilians that are hurt or even killed. The police need to match
or even out-gun the attacker/shooter. If the police cannot match the level of weapons that the
attacker, the risk will increase of the police being injured/killed or more civilians being
