Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Do I have your attention, because she has certainly been getting plenty of attention in the
media surrounding the upcoming 2016 presidential election! Former first lady and
secretary of state with two terms in the U.S. Senate, most of us know her as just Hillary. So
is she going to run in the upcoming election, and does she even stand a chance? I found
two contrasting articles for my report on why she will and will not win in 2016: (Cannon,
2014) “Why Hillary Clinton Will Win in 2016″ and (Young, 2014) “Why Hillary Won’t
Win”. It seems pretty clear that Ms. Clinton is gearing up for next year’s election due to
her recent national tour in promotion of her most recent book, but there is still speculation
as to whether or notshe actually will run for office . I for one do not think she will win, but
I do believe she is going to run.
Cannon believes that the time has come for a woman in office and who better to lead this
proud nation than former first lady and New York senator Hillary Clinton. I agree with
Cannon’s statement that Obama stole Hillary’s chance at the presidency in 2008 with one
key factor: “he was the only prominent Democrat in the field who questioned the 2003
U.S. invasion of Iraq” (Cannon, 2014). Both articles agree on one fact which cannot be
