Virginity Does not Have a Price tag
While some individuals are able to put a price on a women’s virginity, others think it is
priceless and it should not be put up for sale. Dylan’s experiment of putting up her virginity for
auction brought controversy on whether doing this was a good or bad idea. Other women have
also done this and while some end up selling it, others have backed up for valid reasons that
support the idea that selling their virginity is wrong. Dylan’s main argument in her essay “Why
I’m Selling My Virginity” is that a woman’s virginity is valuable to men and she claims that it
shouldn’t be seen as something wrong if they decide to profit from it. Women have the right and
freedom to do whatever they desire with their bodies. This women leave behind the fact that
selling their virginity is prostitution, and exchanging money for sex is illegal. A women’s
virginity is valuable to most men but women should not profit from it.
