Sexual Motivation
According to the Britannica, sexual motivation is also known as a person’s sex drive or the
impulse to gratify sexual needs through direct sexual activity. I feel like one’s sexuality is a touchy
subject for some while others are very vocal and open about it. Specifically, I will be focusing on
sex and its motivations in particular. As a college student, this is very close to my life and relevant
to what I experience every single day. There are many reasons that we are motivated, especially
in our college years, to have sexual interactions with someone. Some reasons people have sex
may be physical, goal-based, emotional, or even insecurity reasons. Along with these reasons
there are even certain scenarios that have happened in mine, and some of my friends’ life that
have been brought to my attention when it comes to sex and some of their motivations.
