SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
When looking at Apple’s position on ethical and social responsibility, put a definition to the
words. “Business ethics refers to the standards of conduct and moral values involving decisions
made in the work environment (Boone 22),while social responsibility is defined as, “a
management philosophy that includes contributing resources to the community, preserving the
natural environment, and developing or participating in nonprofit programs designed to promote
the well-being of the general public” (Boone 22). Apple has more than met their social
responsibilities in which the company is not done but continues to expound on them as well as
building on their business ethics. Apple is a company that has come a long way from a vision to
a reality in many ways.
