Appeal Financial Aid
I have not had any issues as far as grades and GPA regarding financial aid up until this point. I
have graduated already with an associate’s degree in liberal arts and maintained a GPA above 3.2.
Currently I sit within a 3.1 grade point average. I believe I was suspended due to the time frame that
financial aid has to offer. I am still attending Brookdale to receive a second degree on time. Not that I
am here making up time or taking an extra semester to finish. I will receive another associates after this
upcoming spring semester in Computer Science. Also another reason I feel I was suspended was due to
the fact that when I was registering for the fall 2014 I only had 9 credits signed up for. The fourth class I
wanted to take to give me 12 credits thus making me full time and eligible for financial aid was an
internship. This however fell through and required much more attention to sign up than any typical class
since it carries a different weight. This made time expire to which the system saw my 9 credits and
assumed I would not be full time and I did not receive financial aid. However once I realized the
internship was not a fit for me I acted as quick as I can to add another computer science class to make
