Introduction
The United States antitrust law entails an assortment of local and federal government
policies intended to regulate business organizations’ conducts through the promotion of fair
competitions that ultimately benefit consumers. Accordingly, the antitrust policy is basically a
competition law restricting business cartels and other collusive dealings that may impose trade
hurdles. The law regulates organizational acquisitions and mergers, which extensively minimize
competition by restricting monopolistic establishments and other associated powers. Whereas
antitrust law has predominantly evolved through various landmark cases presided over by the
Supreme Court, the law significantly promotes and maintains long-term economic prosperity in
the US. In those aspects, the US antitrust law remains the ultimate cushion for all economic
ventures in the country and even beyond.
