My experience with food traditions is somewhat limited. I think my food traditions are as
common as any other typical American, which isn’t much. The food traditions I celebrate are
very broad. I celebrate birthdays with cake, Thanksgiving with turkey, and The 4th of July with a
BBQ. I think for some other cultures they might find some of these traditions a bit strange due to
the difference in culture, but it is one of the few ways I feel that I participate in food traditions. In
the Midwest as a community, food traditions such as corn mazes are also common. I think this is
the most important food tradition for the communities I am a part of. I like the idea of food
traditions bringing people together which is what they’re intended for. However, I don’t
participate in many food traditions in a tight knit community like my family. Agriculture
traditions such as gardening are also culturally important. I do not garden but to some cultures
