Management Styles of Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness

Abstract
In this paper, presented is an annotated bibliography of management and leadership styles
and the effectiveness on organizations. The purpose of the review is to show the
correlation between management and leadership styles and how the organization reacts
based on that style. There is a lack of total agreement as to what the best style of leadership
is but a combination of a few seems to be best suited for organizational effectiveness.

This article focuses on the roles and responsibilities of leaders that contribute to overall
organizational effectiveness. The object of this study is to investigate the transformational
and transactional leadership styles that may lead to job satisfaction. The study found that
transformational leadership had more of a contribution towards job satisfaction than
transactional leadership. This article is beneficial as it provides information to support that
leadership style does have an effect on job performance and employees job satisfaction.
