The author greatly emphasis on the importance of Mass Media during the pandemic. The article
states that mass media was the only link that connected people at their homes to the outer world
and kept them updated during the pandemic, thus the whole world was dependent on mass media
channels. Moreover, apart from keeping people updated through coverage, media started
educating the general public by telling them the safety precautionary measures that were needed
during the pandemic and provided effective health messages. As media was the source of
providing authentic news regarding the pandemic, there were many trends of fake news and
rumors that were mostly circulated on social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp. By
reading the article we should know that media being easily available to everyone, it is our duty to
prevent the circulation of fake news. The source of this article is authentic and can be trusted. By
reading this article my point of view regarding the media is cleared. Being a vital tool for
communication, we mostly misused it. The article has no limitations.

Mehr Tarar is a writer, columnist, TV presenter and former op-ed editor of Daily Times,
Pakistan. This news article explains that not every news about the pandemic was related to the
novel Corona virus (COVID-19) but were used by political parties as their political agenda. The
author explains how the media channels began opposing the steps taken by the government in
order to tackle the pandemic. Though these initiatives taken by the government were successful,
media still portrayed it as a government failure. It could be said that rather focusing on the
