Animal Testing
Is animal testing good or bad? Why is there even animal testing? “An estimated 26
million animals are used every year in the United States for scientific and commercial testing”
(Animal testing). Animal experimentation should be banned because we are putting animals
endanger of extinction. “Many, if not most, animals die before the end of the study. With the
exception of chimpanzees, animals who survive their use in research and testing can be killed
after the study is completed” (Harm and Suffering).
What is animal testing? “An animal test is any scientific experiment or test in which a
live animal is forced to undergo something that is likely to cause them pain, suffering, distress or
lasting harm” (Cruelty free international). There has been animal testing for years, they have
reduced the types of animals. For example they are not allowed to test on chimpanzees and
