Animals Testing
The physiologist Claude Bernard (1865) has a famous saying, “The science of life is a su-
perb and dazzlingly lighted hall which may be reached only by passing through a long and
ghastly kitchen. “ In the kitchen, waiting to be slaughter are the animals used for experi-
mental researches. These animals are known as living instruments, and they play a big role
in drug development and life science research. Therefore, with the human desire for medi-
cine, animal testing for scientific and biological researches has became increased. However,
people have not realized that the animals might suffered a lot and the process is very ruth-
less. In fact, using animals for scientific researches is unnecessary because it is inhumane,
less environmentally friendly, and it has negative impacts on human life.
First of all, the main disadvantage of animal testing is inhumane treatment. The uneth-
ical method used in animal tests are often cruelly tortured such as force feeding, food and
water deprivation.In order to get experimental data or study the experimentation of heal-
ing process, some scientists are even burn or inflict serious injury to the animals. For exam-
ple, the Draize eye test, which used by cosmetics companies to evaluate irritation caused by
