Based on the given article, a sentence “The importance of a mother in raising a successful child”
would fit perfectly as the main implied idea of the article. It is noted that the author, Bonnie
Fellhoelter comes out with the issue of whether the role of the stay at home mother should be
restored in order to raise the children with better morals. She argues stay at home mother is better
than working one in order to raise productive children and the children should not be left to the day
care as this situation will lead to forfeiture of new generation’s morals and values. The author’s
purpose is clearly noticed as she appears to persuade the intended audience which is specifically
parents.
She starts her case by claiming the mother has been viewed as the one who stays at home and raises
the children. However, the role of a mother is subsequently redefined by society as the one who is
