DOMES
Domes are important for various reason to the people as they are the milestone of human creations all
back to Rome in terms of architecture as they have a aspects of aesthetic and practically which can
provide space for any activities in terms of political meeting(White House), religious reason(Mosque),
and even entertainment(Some Gladiator Arenas in Ancient Rome) could be those type of activities.
The dome has many efficiency such as how it uses less resources than most of your typical historical
structures such as the pyramid which takes a lot of time to build because it uses hundred of thousands
of stones just to build one pyramid. The dome is pretty flexible on what materials that may be used
within the construction it can use mud, stones, wood, metal encasing, glass.
The domes have different styles as it’s the design can be shifted outside from a simple spherical top and
bottom to like a UFO or blimp looking dome to onion looking dome. Dome designs is also implemented
in tents and portable structures and I have a dome-like tent which is very easy to be build as I only have
to attach the hatchs to each other just hook the ends to the ground and it will stand.
To this modern day there are many countries across the world that still uses the dome as Mosque is still
built even in modern day, some individual National Football League teams across the United States
would also have a dome that is composed of stainless steel support, glass(i.e New Orleans Saints,
Atlanta Falcons) in which the spectator can watch their favorite team compete against the opposing
team and vice versa for any outside spectator corresponding to the opposing team.
