Andrew Carnegie: A Businessman for the Ages
In 1848, Andrew Carnegie immigrated to the US and as they say, the rest is history. From starting out
as a messenger, to being an apprentice of a railroad superintendent, Carnegie grew with each job he had,
and made it a career. He established himself at a very young age and never looked back.
He took work in the same cotton factory his father worked in as a bobbin boy making $1.20 an hour as
