And He Asked Me If the Wings
Made His Hips Look Big
And he asked if the pants made him look fat”, said no woman ever.
According to Dave Barry, women are overly obsessed with what they look like; unlike
men (Barry 341). [PARAPHRASE] Women base their looks upon the models of today, form
unrealistic goals for themselves, and go out of their way to fulfil these goals. Women are also
raised around the “perfect” women, but in doll form – Barbie (Barry 342). [PARAPHRASE]
While men, on the other hand, grow up playing with hideous looking action figures. In a result,
men believe they look average, and stick with how they viewed themselves in the 7th grade and
rarely does that view change (Barry 342). [DETAILS] Males and females, obviously hold

never fully believe that she is beautiful, no matter how many compliments she receives. For
example, women see other women and compare themselves to them, without even thinking about
it. I, myself, have done that very thing. One day, I was going to go out with some friends of
mine and the guy I like. So when it came to getting ready, I did my usual routine all the way up
to having to find what to wear. Usually I would just put on a t-shirt and jeans, but the guy I liked
was going to be there and I wanted to look good. I tried on a plethora of outfits that day, but I
just could not seem to find one I felt good in. Every time I looked in the mirror, I would get
frustrated because I just could not shake the feeling that I looked fat and ugly. After spending
