Analysis of Philips
Task 2:
First of all we exchanged our email accounts and Facebook names so we can stay in
contact at all time. We will meet before the tutorials and find out how much workload
there is for the specific week and decide on how many group meetings are necessary. From
the start we agreed on two to three group meetings a week. As our group is very diverse, it
may happen that we have different opinions about something. This could lead to
disharmony in some cases, but we think that in general it will be an advantage for us.
Especially the harm of groupthink will be kept to a minimum. In the beginning we decided
to talk about any problems or issues as soon as they occur so there will not be any irritation
for further tasks. Throughout this project we agreed on making decisions together.
Furthermore we did not allocate specific roles for team members but are rather going
decide from task to task individually.
We will start preparing our case presentation straight after we finished our strategy project
presentation, so our workload will not overlap. If any agreements are not met we will
discuss it as a group as soon as possible to prevent any further problems. In our opinion the
key to a successful group work is in talking openly about everything.

Netherlands. Through the decades they moved into the x-ray and radio market, and
nowadays produce many different products such as televisions, mp3-players and
headphones (“Philips”, 2013).
Philips mission statement has not changed over time and has always been:
