Meat is the flesh of animals which is meant to be used as food. It is the flesh of animals
which are raised by human for food. For example, the flesh of chickens, ducks, pigs, cows,
and others livestock are meats. Most of the people in the world are meat eaters because
meat contains all the nutrients what people need. It is very high in protein. However,
consuming meat is not a good choice to get nutrition.” Eating meat can seriously damage
your health” (http://gitamrta.org/meat.htm). People should reduce their desire to consume
meat because consuming meat is unethical and it affects the health of people by causing
cancers and diseases.
The reason why it is unethical is because it is a cruel act to kill and eat the animals. It is
cruel when the desire of people to consume meat makes animals suffer. Animals are living
things just like humans. They will feel pain or suffer when people are killing them. So,
people should not eat meat without caring what the animals’ feel. Although people know
that killing animals is not a good act, they still keep doing it. A philosopher, Peter Singer
trusts that “if alternative means of survival exist, one ought to choose the option that does
not cause unnecessary harm to animals” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethics_
of_eating_meat). The quote means that people must choose an event that does not cause
unnecessary damage or injury to animals if the choice which people choose will affect the
life and death of the animals. Animals will struggle when they know people want to kill
