1. The first stage of the media war was the “IntraIndustry Conflict,” this was during the
early stages of the new medium of radio and most newspapers didn’t find much threat in
their competitors’ industry. Some urban papers even linked up with local broadcasting
stations; however, journalists became intimidated after the success of the radio business.
This would develop a conflict over what radio stations were allowed to document, but
under further examination, there was no issue founded with radios informing people
about national and international occasions. The second stage was that of “Alliance
Building,” where newspapers alike became ali’s in hopes of ending the use of radio
systems. Newspapers gained information through wires which they would then publish to
