Puritan’s must fulfill some conditions since they had made a covenant with God, that is, being
compassionate towards each other and assisting those in need for them to avoid punishment.
Moreover, Puritan’s should live in unity for them to share their challenges. Puritan’s have not
embraced grace compared to modern Christianity where they believe that God will forgive them
for His unmerited love to human beings. Most puritans followed the teachings of transforming
rather than those of conforming ( Hutson 2012).
