Although Brown v. Board of Education played a critical role in breaking the back of
American segregation, I do not think that it was the one event that we can give all the credit to.
This is because if we look at cases before Brown v. Board, we can see some of the things that
were argued that helped to win the Brown case. Also, the civil rights movement was filled with
so many monumentary events and wins for african americans, that we can not attribute ending
segregation to just one case. Brown v. may have been one of the first monumental wins,
however, many more soon followed .

Now although, Brown v. Board was a big win for blacks during the civil war, how can we
say that it broke the back of segregation, when there were court cases that opened doors for
Brown v. Board to even happen. For example, the Civil Rights act of 1866. This was a law that,
