1. The epigraph depicts a theme of diversity. Not only diversity but also diversity
without hate. The cultures have meshed together creating a melting pot. A Chinese
woman along with a Spanish family is out enjoying a day at a Jewish festival with
different foods from different cultures. No one is alienated and there is a
welcoming tone, which is my reasoning for saying there is a theme of diversity
without hate.
2. The arrangement of ideas in the first paragraph is very effective because it helps
the reader visualize the range of different people in the place the poet had just
