Bowling For Columbine
Bowling for Columbine is an American documentary film by Michael Moore. The
movie was about the causes for the Columbine High School massacre in 1999 and the
problems of how people using violence with guns. He has done some research of some
common public opinions and the related issues.
What is the problem go true killer within the United State? Shall we blame
shameful homicides upon one organization, even topic or person? Bowling for Columbine
presents the fear of the United States as being a violent crime country and guns took over
the most place. In the movie, it is evident that Moore introduces many themes and
characters to prove the aggression and terror. When the young generation too young and
immature to understand the meaning and consequences of death by guns? Moore shows
reports of public’s opinion saying the details including why they think the acts where
committed with many circumstances. The word that can be describe the feeling of
American nation now a day within Bowling for Columbine is FEAR. Some people in the
movie even showed why they actually fear of their next house neighbors. One scene of the
movie was about the footage of Kayla Rolland, a six years old girl who had been shot at
the Theo J.Buell Elementary School in Flint, Michigan by another young classmate – a six
years old boy killer had found a fun at his uncle’s house because his mother was being
evicted. The fact not
true is that no one knew why the little boy wanted to shoot the little girl. It’s Dick Clark’s
fault! (Dick Clark is American Bandstand Grill and blames the welfare to work program).
One of the purposes of this film is to persuade American’s to change their ideas
about guns and gun laws. Moore shows refers to other countries and their gun policies to
back up his arguments for increase gun regulation because it is obvious that America his
the only country in the world has the highest gun related crimes and deaths, even though
other countries have similar attitudes toward violence. There are also another scene like
talking about a bank in Michigan would give customers for free hunting guns if they deposit
money account or violent behavior of the columbine shooters and Moore takes two of
columbine victims to claim a refund on the bullets still lodged in their bodies…
In order to arrive at a possible explanation, Moore takes on a deeper examination of
america’s culture of fear, bigotry and violence in a nation. Bowling for Columbine is the first
