Omar Latimore America: A Nation of Robots
Everywhere I turn, everywhere I go, this country we call America is becoming a
nation of robots. For example social media and smart phones as well. Because of these
main pieces technology change many different things from commination, finding
information, and just be something to pass the time away, but through these pros there are
cons as well.
Smart phone, and social media plays hand and hand in causing America to be a
nation of robots. In this era of technology everything seems easier to access information,
but people can’t live without social media or their smartphone for one second. It like
people aren’t robots, it’s more like they are zombies to the technology. For example
people some people wake up in the morning and the first thing they check is social
media. They don’t worry about brushing their teeth, but what is going on through
Instagram Facebook, and Twitter. Smart phones are an addiction in my eyes, people can’t
live without it. Growing up a kid in the 90’s children would ask for toys for Christmas,
but compare to the 2000’s kids want a phone and it shouldn’t be that way, but it is
because technology have a hold on people that they can’t let go. It is a dangerous time to
live in because people may lose their mind for a phone if they lose it. Everywhere we go
people have their face in their phone. In restaurants, church, and walking down the street,
