Introduction

The company that is centered in Seattle, WA, is regarded being an e-commerce giant and

is known as Amazon.com, Inc. This is a well-known multinational company that was started by

Bezos in June 1994. During this time, the internet was gaining vast popularity and was

considered in being a business medium. Bezos plan was to sell books to mass amount of

audience through the web. In 1995, Bezos would soon launch an online book store named

Amazon.com and the business model was based on “sell all, carry few”. What Amazon first did

was actually stock about 2,000 books and offered over a million books online. In 1996, Amazon

launched the Amazon Associates Program in order to attract more customers. By 2002, there

would be about 800,000 associates that would be signed up with Amazon. With business
