“Am I actually learning in Comp?”
Throughout the years of high school and the first semester in college, the question people want
to know is the student actually learning anything in English? In high school, there was always one
answer, no. As a student, it seemed like we would learn one lesson and the rules would change or
things just did not seem to go together. As a growing, maturing student, I started to see and understand
how things work in the world of English. I thought I understood things until I got to my current teacher,
Ms. Granderson. She changed my perspective on each rule, and common mistake. I am still in the
process of trying to figure out where I went wrong or what I did not obtained the past English classes.
