a) Alliant Energy is a company that provides electrical power and natural gas to 1 million
customers in Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota. It’s a medium size organization
that puts significant amount of emphasis on diversity because they are committed to
creating a workplace that welcomes individual’s talents, ideals, and perspectives. A diverse
workplace gives the company a better understanding of the marketplace and maximizes
their capabilities to succeed.
b) Having diversity in the workplace benefit the company because integrating workers
from culturally diverse backgrounds helps the business becomes strong. The creativity in
the workplace increases because different ideas are being obtained from different people
and it allows managers and employees to communicate, teach, and understand one another.
Also, the company will gain a greater perspective on how different cultures operate and
