Chapter One: Succeeding in Business Communications
Question 1: What is business and administrative communication? Why is it important to a
manufacturing company such as All-Weather? Why is it important to Doug and his team in
the HR Department? → Business and administrative communication is something we do to
solve a business problem. It involves company and various characters. There is positive and
negative communication. One will get different outcomes depends on what kind of
communication skills he or she uses. It is important for a manufacturing company such as All-
Weather because it operates from 32 offices and 5 plants across the United States and 6 offices
internationally. And All-Weather employ close to 900 personnel in the United States and 18
personnel outside the United States. It is important for Doug and his team in the HR Department
