All Quiet on the Western Front Essay
Advancements of military weapons and tactics have improved a lot in recent years. They
have brought up soldier’s moral and saved many lives. Soldiers have a higher chance of
returning home unharmed versus not returning at all. These advancements include more than just
better weapons. They range from better medical care to quicker transportation. The
advancements changed the way wars are fought today. These advancements are seen throughout
history and literature. One example of literature would be All Quiet on the Western Front by
Erich Maria Remarque. The soldiers in this novel had to face the newest inventions of war with
little training and a strong will to live. Not everyone is able to receive the top of the line
equipment, but many had to fight against the best weapons to survive.
