Facts about Alcoholism in United State
In the Journal of Advertising Research (2019) summarize that every year million of
people drive under the influence of alcohol, when you’re drunk driving you tend to doze off.
And/or fall asleep behind the wheel. Since you’re not conscience of what you’re doing, you’re
more likely to cause an accident with another vehicle or property. This confirm that Drunk
driving is one of the main sources of car accidents. Which also include that Drunk driving is one
of the sources of accidents fatalities. In 2011 the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
show the statistics that said that they were 9,878 fatalities alcohol related accidents in United
State, this made around a 31% of the total accident fatalities. Around a 4 to 5 percent were
register in Miami.
Alcohol can also lead to more aggressive situations such as bar fights and altercations.
Most people drink alcohol as an escape from reality. Therefore, all the emotions being bottled up
that people don’t talk or vent about, tend to come out when drinking. For this reason, people can
get more aggressive or easily aggravated for any small inconvenience. When you’re at a bar
you’re even more likely since there are various people there. Not only drinking at a bar can drive
to aggressive situation but when drinking at a bar you are more likely to be arrested for DUI. By
2009 the Miami Beach Police arrested around 1,879 people and in 2012 were 439, the difference
of the number might make you think that the drunk driving is went down because people is
getting conscious about it but actually, the real reason based on the News Banks (2013) said is
that the reorganization of the patrol zone made the officers forgot about the DUI. Causing that

the people driving under the alcohol influence think that they can keep doing it and nothing is
going to happen because the police forgot about this major issue.
Health Issues
Excessive drinking at a bar is caused by stress, life can be full of stress. Situations arise
everyday living that cause us to experience sadness, anger, anxiety, and excitement. Most people
who experience stress full situations will turn to alcohol to cope with stress. Researchers have
found that alcohol takes a psychological toll on the body. Drinking alcohol may seem to provide-
relief but it just for short term. Exercising, swimming, yoga and counseling are some good
resources to relief stress. Another health important problem is that drinking excessively alcohol
can cause brain-behavior. Brian damage typically occurs after years of drinking. However, some
