This research article based paper will evaluate the validity and reliability of a selected research
study. The identified paper is “Alcohol Consumption among First-Time Mothers and the Risk of
Preterm Birth: A Cohort Study” several parameters that pertain to a valid research study will be
explored below.
The research was observational and included 46,252 participants who were primparous
mothers.
Questionnaires were used based on the study conducted through the Norwegian Mother and
Child facility. The questionnaire was effective based on the research question because it would be
easy to reach a high number of individuals, and gain reliable and valid results.
