According to our text, what can we say causes addiction and dependency? (Clinton and Scalise,
2013) State that there are 8 different models that contribute. The disease model in which place
people in a category to differentiate the ones who are addicted and the ones who are not. The
genetic model, which will focus on the difference in the genetic and physiological process to
explain addiction. 40-60 percent of a person’s risk for alcohol is genetic. The biological focus
