Adam Smith: The Father of Capitalism
Adam Smith was a Scottish philosopher and political economist. Many of Smith’s
concepts and theories had far reaching effects on fields as varied as manufacturing and
government policies. His ideas on “an invisible hand” guiding supply and demand, gross
domestic product and the minimal role of government intervention in the free market became the
foundation of the classical school of economics. (Blenman)
