Literature reviews are useful research tools, particularly in new fields with lower
populations (such as special education research), or in areas where advocacy groups have
value-laden opinions (Knopf, 2006). In light of the expansion of knowledge and the inability
to study everything, literature reviews are also useful. As a result, having someone review the
literature is beneficial. When conducting a research study, one of the most important tasks is
to review the current literature on the subject and utilize it to guide the design of the new
study. Early in the research process, after the researcher has chosen a topic, the researcher
should undertake a literature review (Paluck et al., 2019). A literature review can help clarify
and focus the research problem while also broadening one’s knowledge base and identifying
